I have passed the stage where it matters what day of this journey I am on. This has become life instead of each day. In that perspective it helps - because last week i gained 3lbs! Still haven't figured that one out, but I did add resistance training back in. So this week I kept the resistance training up and I wrote down what I ate keep a close eye on my veggie and fruit intake - I had let it slip a litte. The veggies and fruits have not become a complete habit yet.
I found this great quote - helped me from getting too frustrated with this gain:
from Biggest Loser Season 5's Curtis Bray:
"Failure is never starting. Every step toward your goal is success."
So along this route I have given myself a new challenge, and I have some help. There are 4 of us at work who are watching our weight and trying to change our livestyles. So starting today we are each putting in $20 and every week for every pound we gain we will put in a dollar. On December 30/31 how ever has lost the most will win the pot!
The money is great, but for me having four friends I am around every day of the week will be a great source of help and encouragement. We will see what happens
Over and Out!
I am a mom with PCOS who likes to workout. I have two boys one with ADHD and AUDHD. An adult daughter that keeps me sane and another adult son who lives out of state.

How many days?
Well this past week I have lost another 0.6lbs. Which now puts me at a total weight loss of 13.5. 0.6 is a very very slow route, but at least it is consistency.
It took so long to update because I was very sick. I left work early on Friday and did not return to work until Tuesday this week. I still have a pretty bad cough, but other wise am feeling much better.
Tuesday was also my birthday. Jeremy and I went to the texas road house - one of my favorite places. I was just glad I was up for going out. When you no longer get school holidays it suchs to have to spend the weekend in bed because you just don't have the energy to get up.
Well that is all for now. Ike is going to miss us here in Florida, but now it is headed for Texas where mom and dad live - so please keep them in your prayers this week.

Day 136 - I DID IT!
So first I had to weigh in on Friday because Jeremy and I had all day plans for Saturday. I lost 0.6 this week - still headed in the right direction.
But yesterday I completed my first 10k! I participate in the Nike+ human race - i did not need to go anywhere, just hooked up my ipod and off I went. My goal was first to finish and second to finish under 3 hours.
Well I was able to run a portion of every single kilometer exept the very last one. I finished in 2hrs 24 minutes and 34seconds. I got early, about 6:30am so that I didn't have to contend with the heat so much, though it was getting pretty sticky by the time I got home. Even though I was pretty exhausted I remembered from my weight training days that it is best if you can eat something with in 20 minutes after working out so I managed to eat and then crashed for a few hours.
When I woke up I was a bit stiff and could tell where I was going to be sore - so I took a nice hot bath with epsom salt - miracle worker! This morning I am barely sore. There are a couple spots but not all over my body like it would have been.
I think I like my 2 -3 mile run/walks better, but there is nothing like being able to say that I can finish a 10k!
well that is all I know for now.
