Well this week is going much better than last week already. I worked out on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. The release I've always gotten from running is returning. There is nothing like a 1.5 mile run to get your brain to turn off - which we all know I have an issue with. :-)
Veggies and fruit are going well. That hard push to make sure I got in fruits and veggies for those 4 weeks has made it a habit I don't really need to think about. Now if I have a meal with out veggies it feels like an incomplete meal. What a great feeling - to not need to think so hard about every little piece of food I eat.
Getting food to be not such an important roll in my daily life is a great feeling.
I am a mom with PCOS who likes to workout. I have two boys one with ADHD and AUDHD. An adult daughter that keeps me sane and another adult son who lives out of state.

Day 124 - "Rain Day"
Can't call it a snow day, because obviously it isn't snowing. But there is a lot of rain and some wind. We haven't lost power and I've been through much worse storms in the midwest. The news is making people panic and sound like it is really bad - ok where the tornados touched down isn't so good, but that isn't near us.
Work closed down today, because us the flooding - there is a lot of standing water - they don't drain well around here, but some places have seen more than 10" of rain.
I had to go out earlier - I just took Jeremy's truck, but I really would have been fine in my van.
So once worked closed I took the advantage and got a few more hours of sleep. Now I am making lunch and then I am going work out - it will be an inside work out.
Driving down the street it is like livin in a ghost town. There are very few people out and nothing is moving but the trees in the wind. Its crazy. Its so different than how people from the midwest would (and I have seen) act and go about their lives in a strom like this. Its crazy. I mean it is gray out, but it isn't supper dark like we are use to.
Well that is where things are. We are AOK and there is nothing to worry about.

120 - weigh in day
Ok - I lost the 0.4 that I gained last week. Not the 1lb I wanted but back in the right direction!
Another success for today - today was the first time I finished the 40 min beginners 10k training program. The last interval training set was done with just walking, but thats not completely unexpected the first time making it the full 40 minutes. Unfortunatly I did get a blister - and pop it - so walking was mandatory.
On Sunday August 31st I will actually do the full 10k walk/run with my nike+ and uploaded it to the Nike+ website to participate in the Human Race.
Work has started to pick up and be a little more crazy. The house in Iowa has buyers, but there is a snapho with the first people that made an offer and we are now dealing with lawyers, ugh!
So I am getting a lot of pactice at keeping my stress levels low.
Well that is all I know for now. I hope every one had a good week.

115 - being selfish
Ok - well I gained 0.4 this week. Not really sure why - except that I didn't put in an hours workout everyday. UGH!! So well on Saturday I had already walked a mile and a half for 35 minutes so on Sunday I decided to take a selfish/childish day. I stayed with in my points and ate healthy, but I didn't work out. I enjoyed watching the olympics and reading one whole book and a part of another - these books by Stephenie Meyer are near to impossible to put down!
I needed yesterday to just be mad that I have to put in so much extra work. Its not like I didn't work out at all last week. A friend and I walked for 15-20 minutes everyday at lunch last week. How many people have I heard that have just added a 15-20 minute walking in at lunch and that was enough for them to drop pounds if they were watching what they were eating?!!????
But now after that day to act selfish and childish I am back on track - still eating right and getting in my fruits and veggies (I bought clementines this weekend - yummy!). I also have the 10k human race - through nike+ - that I am working to train for August 31st. I will be walking/running and doing it on my own time, not an offical race anywhere. That should give me enough push to up my working out. Plus Nike+ put out a training aid for the ipod for this which I haven't tried yet, and it is a tough 40minute work out - I listened to it the other day.
So here we go again!
Another long week ahead.

Day 110 - not off the wagon
Ok I know I haven't blogged in 6 days, but not to worry I haven't fallen off the wagon.
I have been keeping to my points and working out at least 30 minutes. A friend and I have been going out and walking right before lunch - which in this heat is like working out in a sauna, great for uping the intensity.
After recovering from not feeling so well after the endoscopy I got right back on my at least 6 veggies a day.
At saturday's weigh in I gained .2lbs, which in my book is the same as maintaining. Not bad after a procedure and feeling so sick I had to eat just want I could stomache.
I will let you know how the rest of this week goes.
