hot and sweaty again

Finally got back out there and ran this morning.  It has been too long since my last run and my body let me know in no uncertain terms it wasn't happy with the long delay!  It was bery warm and muggy this morning.

The one think I like abouty route is once i start there is no stopping.  It is a 3.1 mile loop.  If need be I can call to be picked up, buy on a morning like this I am still out running when mynhusband leaves for work. And there is no chamce of waking my step daughter up, who only went to bed a few hours before!! So its.suck it buttercup and kick it in gear.  Yes I told myself this a few times this morning.

Thankfully I had another push - Jocelyn had her surgery this week amd it went well and thisrun let me eran our 5k mermaid medals for us.

Happy Friday,  may it be filled with many blessings.

Update on Miss Jocelyn

So last night Jocelyn had an overnight EEG, this is what the doctor said:

"Well the doctors just came in the good thing is when buddy feels weird it is not a seizure so they feel it's all sugar related and her pupils are very dilated but her seizure didn't change because she did have a seizure last night but it was her normal seizure"

She is now on her way back home and hopefully getting some much needed rest.  If you haven't already please go over to her page and like it - they are trying to reach 2,000 likes.  Hope For Jocelyn

I ran the watermelon Festival run this weekend - it was hot, humid, and hilly just as expected.  The interval training I have been doing is paying off.  Last year I ran the race in 51min this year I ran it in 50:37.  Every race is showing some improvement from the year before - that is the only thing I compete against.

I'm trying to get into 1/2 marathon training - 156 more days to go until year 2 of the space coast 1/2 marathon.  I am very excited to be running this again with my running buddy Feather.  However these afternoon sever thunderstorms are not helping get over my procrastination!  So for now I smile and enjoy the rain drops from inside and do some crunches and some stepper.

Here is a picture from the run this weekend, just past a mile in:

good day with one dissapointment

Disappointment - couldn't get up and do my 5am 5k today,  had stomach issues that required I take the extra hournof sleep. However I will be back at it tomorrow! :-)

Good news - down another 1.6 pounds!

Please keep Jocelyn on your prayers. Shes lost weight (which is not good) and she had a seizure yesterday.  They are running tests and waiting for answers.

Happy Thursday,  may it be filled with many blessings.

Happy PI day!

Happy PI day! Yes I am showing my GEEK today - it is 3.14 as in the mathematical constant PI. hehehe

However I am watching my sugar in take so instead of pie today I have two sweet things to share:

Last night ran the corporate 5k and PR'ed!!! (Personal Record).  Last year I ran this race in 49:29, this year 47:36!!! Almost 2 minutes!!!   My lungs burned at the end, still scared from the asma attack at the Disney run, however the only way to fix lungs and train them to be better is to push that limit.  Though I hate throwing up, when it comes to running and asma pushing to that limit is actually beneficial in increasing your speed and lowering your times.

The second thing is - even though I gained on the scale this week, it was measurement time and the results are good. I hadn't actually measured since September. All measurements down, except 1, my chest is 1/2" bigger.  I've been doing a lot of pushups and tricep dips - so that can be attributed to the peck muscles gaining.

  9/1/13 3/14/14 Change
Upper arms 16 15.5 -0.5
chest 46 46.5 0.5
waist 48 47.5 -0.5
hips 54 52.5 -1.5
thighs 25 24 -1

Sweet, sweet treats for this PI day!

Happy Friday, may it be filled with many blessings.
