Sorry for the absence. No excuse just didn't log the time. Right now I am trying an experiment of not looking at the scale. I was starting to become obsessed checking a couple times a day, which is not healthy. So for now, did not decided how long, I am just working on continuing to eat healthy (fruits and veggies and pea protein), and getting back into 1/2 marathon training.
Yes you read that right 1/2 marathon training. I am running the Space Coast 1/2 marathon again this year on November 30th with my running partner. I am very excited to be running this race again, though I'm finding it a little difficult to find the motivation to train as much as I did last year. However I am working on that.
It does help that I have my I run 4 buddy Jocelyn. I don't make excuses. There are times I still do not get out, but then it is just I didn't, not I didn't because. She has to get a boot on her foot as she tore some ligaments :(. She starts Chemo on August 19th. I sent her a special box with a special something to wear to match something I have (I will share once she receives the package).
The picture below is for Jocelyn and to keep the prayer chain going strong. Please take a moment to send a prayer up for my superhero. This young lady smiles every day and lives life to the fullest - even when her stomach bothers her, even when she can't put pressure on her foot and knows she has chemo coming up. She is an amazing example on how to live each day.
I have something special that I will be doing for the wellness initiative at work coming up in the next month or so, when I can share I will post. I'm very excited about it. Happy Wednesday, may it be filled with many blessings.
I am a mom with PCOS who likes to workout. I have two boys one with ADHD and AUDHD. An adult daughter that keeps me sane and another adult son who lives out of state.

Words to spread
Today I am posting the link of another blog - its important that messages like this get out and continue to spread so girls young and old every where. These are what we should be spreading to our girls and woman, not the magazines that are airbrushed to perfection. http://www.viralnova.com/father-letter-to-daughter/
**Ok stepping off my soap box now ***
On exercise news: Only ran two bridge miles yesterday. Had started on the third (to put in the 4 miles) but has I got half way up the bridge, my body just did not feel right. With a 3k race this weekend and the half a week from Sunday I'm extra tuned into my body. I will still train, I won't listen to lazy excuses, but I won't push either. Pushing is now saved for race day.
I did some extra body weight circuit training when I got home to up the exercise for the day.
Another plug, I am not paid by and do not get any compensation for this, but do you sometimes find it hard to work out? Then you see a post by a buddy that says they just did such and such work out, or a friend says hey come on lets go for a walk and you suddenly find the energy. The competition factor is what I've always called it. Well if you are like this, like I am, then there is a great place for you to track your work outs, make good friends, and have a plethora of awesome resources at your finger tips: fitocracy.com. Its like playing a game and you get points for working out! I love this site. If you decided to join, add me my user name is HopCoach. If you aren't sure how message me your email and I will send you an invite.
Happy Hump (wednesday) to you all!
