Cheating? ...

Nope! I don't feel like cheating on this diet at all. Everyonce in awhile the smell of fresh cooked bread at a restaurant is inticing, but I just enjoy the smell and move on. At first I missed noddles, then I found I wasn't missing them, and now ... I've found Shiratki noodles! Soy (tofu) noodles. Love them and they don't give me that heavy feeling. I have been on the Atkins diet since July 25. I've had some ups and downs, but nothing like anything I've tried before. I have way more downs and I am keeping it off, even during the difficult weeks. I'm so excited to see something finally working and can't wait to see what else is there is for me as I progress. Happy Friday

Not long now ...

One month and 5 days to be exact until I run my next 5k, another Disney 5k. I haven't been training like I have for past Disney runs, I need to get in gear. I know the weight loss that I had achieved before the last run made a huge difference in my time and in my recovery time. I am excited to see what this run has to bring, since I've lost even more and have great hope that I will weigh even less in one month and 5 days. This week has been difficult to stay on Atkins as I was sick on Monday and Tuesday - this week might be a gain, but it's barely a bump in the road for me. In the past "diets" where I gained weight would make it hard to stay focused and on plan, this time I know it works and I know the reason for the gain and can easily adjust and fix. Moving forward one step at a time to a healthier me!
